I feel very safe living here and secondly the location is exceptionally good, both close to the school and the city centre, which I really like. Also the environment at cityblock is very nice with all the amenities, entertainment and a lounge for watching films. The staff are very kind and helpful and the weekly cleaning is also very good and responsible. Overall I really enjoyed staying here.

I am truly grateful for the outstanding work of our apartment manager, Seerat. She is always professional, attentive, and incredibly helpful. Whether it’s daily matters or unexpected issues, Seerat responds quickly and patiently resolves everything, making my living experience here very comfortable and worry-free. Thanks to her excellent management, the apartment community feels warm and well-organized. Highly recommended!

It's perfectly situated halfway between the train station, city centre, and the university. No more long commutes. A huge shoutout to the amazing manager, Seerat! She's incredibly helpful and she has done a great job since she has started to ensure residents feel comfortable and welcome.

CityBlock is a very serene and well thought out facility for students. It has all the necessary features to make one’s stay enjoyable and memorable.

Read carefully before signing an agreement with City Block Reading!!!! I booked the Superior-Plus Self-Contained Studio for £300 per week. When I arrived, I was completely shocked — the room looked nothing like the pictures on the website. The photos showed two windows, but in reality, there was only a small one. The space was also about half the size it was supposed to be, and the room was extremely dirty on the day I moved in. The so-called “smart storage” is just space to shove your luggage under the bed. If you accidentally hit the storage door with your leg while sleeping, it falls down with a loud bang — very unpleasant, especially at night. At reception, I was told there was no possibility of changing to another room of the same type, but I could swap to a cheaper option they had available. When I began emailing to complain, I was completely ignored. I even asked about terminating the contract and getting a refund, but received no response. I would strongly advise against choosing this property. If possible, view the room in person before signing anything with CityBlock Reading. In my experience, it’s essentially a scam targeting international students. I am currently paying £1,375 per month for this room.
